I am entering my eighth year of teaching math in secondary schools. I have taught 7th grade, 8th grade, 9th grade, and 10th grade math, and I enjoy working with middle school students. I have a bachelor’s degree in Math Education and a Master’s degree also in Math Education. I taught for four years in Spanish Fork, UT, before I began working at Dixon Middle School.
When I was 18, I decided to become a math teacher. I struggled with math in my youth but found that I enjoyed helping others find success with the same concepts I had struggled with. I found I enjoyed relating to students who struggle and helping them find different ways to think about concepts until we found something that worked for them. I am happy to work with students and parents to ensure that students are experiencing success in math.
I have two children of my own that are 4 and 6 years old. My hobbies include tap dancing, reading, and all things Harry Potter related.
