Friday, March 25, Dixon students competed in our annual Battle of the Books competition. Our librarian, Ms. Dudley, and the Centennial librarian selected 16 books together for students to read over the course of the year. Students worked together in teams to answer questions in a Jeopardy style format to determine a winner for our school. Teams would hear the question and then have to respond with the book title and the author in under 30 seconds. The winners of our school competition advance to a District competition Wednesday, March 30, to face off against the winner from Centennial Middle School. We are so proud of all our teams who stretched themselves to read the books, collaborated with fellow students, and completed this year’s Battle of the Books!
This year, 4 teams participated in the competition. Our winning team was The Wanna Beez:
Kyra Crandall
Tyler Oaks
Lincoln Jensen
Jacob Blankenship
