Last month Ms. Petersen’s US History classes performed a reenactment of a court case that took place at the Circut Court of St. Louis County, Dred Scott v. Sandford. This case would later be appealed all the way up to the Supreme Court, making it one of the major causes of the U.S. Civil War. Students served as the judge, bailiff, court clerk, plaintiff, defendant, witnesses, lawyers, and jury.
