Dixon Middle School

On Friday October 4th Dixon had its first ever Multicultural Assembly. The purpose of this assembly was to promote an environment of curiosity, tolerance, and acceptance for the many cultures represented at Dixon.

To accomplish, this we had a swing dance performance from our ballroom team, a performance from our Dance Company team to Surfin in the USA, a performance by Meredith S. a community member who performed a Native American hoop dance, our Latinos in Action students performed, a group of Polynesian students performed, Mrs. Tippetts talked about traditional Chilean clothing, and UVU’s cultural envoy even performed! It took a team effort to make it all come together, and we are grateful for everyone’s help in making this event a success! The hope is to make this assembly a tradition here at Dixon.
