Dixon Middle School

Ms. Alisa is our AMAZING social worker. Before Winter Break she spent weeks making sure that all of the families at Dixon who needed help during the holidays got it. That means distributing donations, contacting families, helping them sign up for Sub for Santa and shopping for clothes for students (see attached pictures). Dixon was able to give out over $6000 this holiday season – money that was donated by Dixon parents, Dixon teachers and staff, community members, a local ward, the Larry H Miller foundation and KSL Quarters for Christmas. Most of the donations were given in the form of gift cards to places like Walmart, Target, Macey’s etc. With that money (and also, United Way’s Sub for Santa program) our school helped over 90 Dixon families that needed assistance this year. Many of these families reached out because they had lost jobs and/or suffered illnesses and other hardships. Thank you to all our community donors and Ms. Alisa for making sure that our Dixon families are given assistance when needed! If you’re interested in donating to Dixon to help our school, families or food pantry please contact Ms. Alisa at: maryal@provo.edu
