Dixon Middle School

Summer School

Summer school is in the morning and will take place Monday through Thursday at Dixon Middle School.  It starts on June 6 and ends on June 23.  All students are welcome to attend summer school.  If your child has been invited to summer school, you will be informed via letter and/or phone call.

Academic Classes

Summer school at Dixon is a great opportunity for students to master “I Can” statements that will prepare them to move on to high school.  Our summer school classes have a low student to teacher ratio so that students can receive individualized help and attention.  Summer school can also be a great way for students to keep practicing what they’ve learned during the year so that they are ready for the new school year.

Enrichment Classes

Our summer enrichment classes offer students the chance to learn new life skills.

  • Ballroom
  • STEM Space Adventure – Earn 2 Science credits and 1 Math credit while learning about solar cars, rockets, and outer space!

Registration

Register in the Main Office from 8am – noon on the following days:

  • Fri, May 27th

Jump Start (for incoming 7th graders)

Jump Start is a free summer program that allows students to meet teachers and classmates and learn important academic skills that will help them during the upcoming school year.  Jump Start will take place August 3rd – 10th (Wed-Wed) from 8:30 am – 11:30 am.

School supplies will be provided. Please register online by Monday, August 1st.  You may also register at Dixon on August 3rd.
