About After School Programs

Contact Brianna Hunsaker-Martinez for more information at briannam@provo.edu

The After School Program at Dixon Middle School aims to provide an environment where youth can thrive and build trust with our teachers, staff, and community.  Our variety of programs strive to be filled with quality time and lessons that inspire our students to make healthy choices and desire to contribute to our community. Students will have opportunities to improve mastery, grow academically, think in a creative manner, and explore more about the community and themselves.

Homework Help is available everyday. Students have access to teachers, after school staff, and UVU/BYU tutors who are all happy to help with homework. If you interested in volunteering in our after school programs please email deanaa@provo.edu.

We also offer enrichment classes and character development classes that are fun for students and teach them new skills such as technology, athletics, acting, life skills, and more.

After school classes run from 2:50 pm – 4:45 pm Monday through Thursday and from 1:00 pm – 2:55 pm on Fridays.  There is a late bus for students who already qualify for transportation during the regular school day. Students may pick up a Registration Form from the Main Office or print, complete, and return the following form:

There are no After School classes on Early Release Days, No School Days, and days that other events occur after school; e.g. STEM Fair, Parent/Teacher Conferences, STOMP Dance.

Before School Program

The Panther Lounge is open to students everyday from 7:00am – 8:00am in the cafeteria. This is a place where students can do homework, hang out with friends, or play games on the Nintendo Switch.

Who is Eligible?

Every Dixon student is eligible to attend Before or After School classes.  However, some of our classes require students to make a commitment to the class. Students who get cast for musicals/drama must commit to regular attendance for the duration of the class.
