On Friday, January 22, we had a shortened class schedule to account for our Dixon Talent Show assembly. We were serenaded and entertained by multiple Dixon students, who did anything from sing, play piano, recite poetry, and dance.
The assembly kicked off with our awesome Latinos in Action students performing two dances that represent some of their culture and heritage. From there, Kyalea Toutai sang and played guitar; Raya Seamons, Mason Robinson, and Maddie Eagan sang a variety of songs both old and new.
Cami Hoffman played “Cristifori’s Dream” on the piano, and Hallie Gee recited the poem “Television” by Roald Dahl. Finally, Gorgeous Lee put on a dazzling display of her Native culture with a traditional dance.
We’d like to give a big thanks to our tech crew: John Reid, Emily Cannegieter, Josh Orme, and Sam Butcher.
Go Panthers! What an amazing display of talent!
